Artist Statement
"This series of works are about space and atmosphere. Starting out from the what I call the “post-industrial landscape” they move father and father away until the images hover between representation and abstraction. The metamorphosis that happens is not planned but arises through the process of painting. This process of painting evolves striping away the initial imagery and laying it to waste. Shapes and lines take on various phenomenons. Finding that tension between the two creates the mystery that I am striving for."
